성경 창세기 읽기를 마치다.

오늘 아침에 성경 창세기 읽기를 마쳤다. 이 책을 6개월 전부터 읽기 시작하였으니 6개월이 걸린 셈이다. 나는 그것을 매일 아침 30분 동안씩 읽었다. 읽는 동안 모르는 단어들은 사전을 찾아야만 했다. 그리고 나는 장 단위로 그것을 읽기를 두세 번 씩 반복하였다.
창세기는 재미있다. 이 책은 우주의 창조에서 시작해서 요셉의 죽음에서 끝난다. 그것은 인류의 첫 조상인 아담과 이브, 첫 번째 살인자인 가인과 그의 아우 아벨, 노아와 홍수, 그리고 바벨탑에 대하여 이야기한다.
그리고 창세기에는 이스라엘 초기 조상들의 역사에 대해 이야기한다. 고대 믿음의 영웅들의 이야기가 이 책에서 나온다. 아브라함, 그의 아들 이삭, 그리고 손자인 야곱의 이야기는 재미있고 믿음에 도움이 된다. 그들은 모두 하나님을 철저히 믿었고 하나님의 뜻에 따라 살았다.
그리고 이 책의 끝에는 온갖 시련을 겪은 뒤에 이집트의 가장 높은 관리가 된 요셉의 이야기가 있다. 요셉의 이야기를 통해서 우리가 배울 수 있는 교훈은 무엇일까? 그것은 하나님은 특별한 일을 시킬 사람에게 특별히 어려운 시련을 주신다는 것이다. 그 시련을 통하여 그는 어려운 일을 감당할 수 있는 사람으로 훈련을 받은 것이다.
I finished reading the Bible Genesis

I finished reading the Bible Genesis this morning. It took six months since I started reading this book six months ago. I have read it every day morning for 30 minutes. While reading, I had to search the dictionary for words I didn't know. And I repeated reading it two or three times in a chapter unit.
Genesis is fun. This book begins the creation of the universe and ends to the death of Joseph. it tells about first ancestors of mankind Adam and Eve, first murderer Cain and his younger brother Abel, Noah and the flood, and the Tower of Babylon.
And Genesis tells about the history of the early ancestors of Israelites. The story of ancient heroes of faith is written in this book. The story of Abraham, his son Isaac, and the grandson Jacob is fun and helps in faith. they all believed in God thoroughly and lived according to God's will.
At the end of the book there is the story of Joseph, who became Egypt's highest official after suffering from all kinds of hardships. What is the lesson we can learn from the story of Joseph? It is that God gives a particularly difficult trial to those who will do special things. Through that trial he is trained as a man who can handle the hard work.
