레위기 영문성경으로 읽기 2

나는 영어 성경 레위기 읽기를 마쳤다. 모세의 율법에는 오늘날 우리의 눈에는 불합리해 보이는 것들을 포함하고 있다. 그러나 그 시대로 돌아가서 생각하면, 우리는 "그것이 바빌론과 이집트의 고대법보다 훨씬 합리적이고 공정하다"고 말할 수 있다. 그것은 그 시대의 “도덕의 기적”이었다고 한다.
"너의 이웃에게 복수를 하거나 계속 미워하지 말고, 자기 자신을 사랑하는 것처럼 그를 사랑하라."(레위기 19:18) 주께서 위와 같이 명하셨다. 구체적으로 가난한 이웃을 돕기 위하여 명하는 율법들도 있다.
너희의 밭을 수확할 때, 곡식을 밭의 끝까지 베어들이지 말고, 베고 남은 이삭을 베러 돌아가지 말라.(레위기 19:9) 떨어진 포도들을 모으기 위하여 포도밭을 되돌아가지 말고 가난한 자와 외국인을 위하여 그것들을 남겨라. 나는 주 너희 하나님이다.(레위기 19:10)
어떤 사람을 속이거나 그를 약탈하지 말라. 고용한 사람의 임금을 주지 않고, 하루 밤을 넘기지 말라.(레위기 19:13) 귀머거리를 저주하거나 장님이 그것에 걸리도록 그의 앞에 어떤 것을 놓지 말라. 나를 경외할지니, 나는 너의 주 하나님이니라.(레위기 19:14)
너희는 외국인에게 대출하는 것에서 이자를 받아도 좋으나 동족 이스라엘인에게 대출하는 것에서는 받아서는 안 된다. 이 규칙을 따르라, 주 너희 하나님께서 너희가 차지하는 땅에서 하는 모든 일에 축복할 것이다.(신명기 23:14)
모세 시대에도 하나님의 사랑과 정의를 실현하는 일이 가장 중요한 일이었을 것이다. 두 가지 중 사랑은 사회적 약자를 보호하려는 방식으로 구체화된다. 위에서 내가 찾아 본 말씀들이 바로 그것을 증명한다.
이것이 사회적 강자들이 특히 주의해야 할 것이다. 우리가 우리의 이웃을 사랑할 때 하나님께서도 우리를 사랑하실 것이다.
Reading the Bible Leviticus 2 in English Version

I finished reading Bible Leviticus in the English version. The law of Moses contains things that seem absurd in our eyes today. But when I think back to that time, We can say "that is much more reasonable and just than the ancient laws of Babylon and Egypt." It is said that it was the "miracle of morality" of the time.
"Do not take revenge or continue to hate him, but love your neighbor as you love yourself."(Leviticus 19:18) Lord ordered as above. Specifically, there are laws that order to help poor neighbors.
When you harvest your fields, do not cut the grain at the edges of the fields, do not go back to cut the head of grain that were left.(Leviticus 19:9) Do not go back through your vineyard to gather the grapes that have fallen; leave them for poor people and foreigners. I am the Lord your God.(Leviticus 19:10)
Do no take advantage of anyone or rob him. Do not hold back the wages of someone you have hired, not even for one night.(Leviticus 19:13) Do not curse a deaf man or put something in front of a blind man so as to make him stumble over it. Have reverence for me; I am the Lord your God.(Leviticus 19:14)
You may charge interest on what you lend to a foreigner, but not on what you lend to a fellow Israelite. Obey this rule, and the Lord your God will bless everything you do in the land that you are going to occupy. (Deuteronomy 20:23)
In the days of Moses, realization of God's love and justice would have been the most important thing. Of the two, love is embodied as a way to protect the socially weak. The words I have found above prove that.
This is what social the powerful should be particularly attentive to. God will love us when we love our neighbors.
